I have looked at the hygiene procedures I had in place before COVID-19 and I have made a few adjustments to ensure you feel safe and relaxed as ever on your visit to Tranquil Beauty.

    1. On arrival your temperature will be taken. Please arrive on YOUR OWN and on time for your appointment and wait in your car or sit on my outdoor bench. I will come and get you when the salon has been sanitised after the last client.

    2. Late arrival could mean cancellation of your appointment and full charge will be made. ALL NEW CLIENTS MUST PAY IN FULL PRIOR TO TREATMENT VIA BACS.

    3. Extra time has been booked out for your safety so I must have this time to sanitise every single area before the next client so please respect my time.

    3. A face covering is advised. Please bring your own or you can purchase one from myself for £1

    4. Upon entry to Tranquil Beauty you will be asked to use the 70% alcohol hand sanitiser on the shelf just inside the door. Please only bring what you need for your visit. You will be asked to leave ALL your belongings in the hallway. REMOVE ALL JEWELLERY PRIOR TO YOUR VISIT.

    5. Please bring your slippers or flip flops which have had the soles cleaned for when you take off your outdoor shoes or you will be asked to wear my flip flops which are cleaned at 60 degrees in the washing machine after use.

    6. Upon entering the treatment room the chair will have a covering on which will be laundered at 60 degrees afterwards.

    7. You will be asked to fill out a COVID-19 consultation form.

    8. The couch will either have disposable couch roll or disposable biodegradable towels, headbands depending on the treatment.

    9. Please bring your own glass or water bottle for your own peace of mind.

    10. There are toilet facilities but you must wash your hands thoroughly AND use the disposable towel to be put in the bin AND use the 70% alcohol sanitiser in the bathroom. It will then be cleaned before the next client. ALL OTHER TOWELS / HEADBANDS ARE LAUNDERED AT 60 degrees as per normal.

    11. I will wear full ppe with a mask and or visor throughout your treatment and as I’ve always done I will wash my hands thoroughly prior to your treatment.

    12. All surfaces, door handles, handrails, products, payment area will also be sanitised before your visit as well as after for the next client.

    13. LYCON WAXING has always been 100% hygienic but Lycon have advised during COVID-19 that we temporarily discontinue the use of our metal spatula in warm waxing and use the disposable spatula as per ALL HOT WAX services.
All pots and products will be cleaned after each use and turned up to 100 degrees at the end of the working day.

    14. All tweezers and any other implements will be sterilised and placed in my UV cabinet then into Barbicide prior to your visit. The barbicide is strong enough to kill the AIDS virus and is a hospital grade verucide for your reassurance.
I am proud to have always used Barbicide since opening in 2012.

    15. If you have symptoms of COVID-19 which are..

    A temperature
    Loss of taste / smell
    Continuous cough

Please inform me ASAP so we can reschedule. You will need to self-isolate for 14 days. You must report your symptoms to to NHS 119 and have a test.

    15. If I receive a notification that I have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 then Tranquil Beauty will close immediately as I will have to self isolate for 14 days.

    Waxing pre-treatment advice:

Please exfoliate and moisturise the areas of skin to be waxed for a couple of days before your appointment, as this will help prepare your skin to get the best results from your waxing. This removes the dead skin allowing any trapped hairs underneath the skin to surface. It’s important to moisturise regularly too to keep the skin soft and supple.

Please have a shower before your appointment to ensure your clean and fresh.

For ladies who have never had a wax before, We advise you do not remove any hair via any other method for 3 weeks before your appointment & also to pre-book a patch test.

If you are booking in for a bikini wax disposable underwear shall be provided for you. Your therapist shall leave the room whilst you undress and a towel will be provided to cover over you as well.
